Staff Motivation - Is it Really Not About $$$?

Fourteen CEOs joined us this week at the AGC Hill Offices to discuss staff motivation and incentive topics.  Budgets are tight and some traditional incentive programs just aren't an option.  So, we need to innovate and examine a new normal in staff leadership.

A new generation of workers don't "roll" like we may have.  They are looking for lifestyle, autonomy and professional development opportunities to fully engage into their association roles.  Our CEO conversation brought some great ideas....

Daniel Pink shows bigger bonuses create worse performance.  A must view.

Get people out of "business" for perspective and rejuvenation - Rick Corcoran facilitates a fantastic 90 minute tour to apply art appreciation to daily business life - at the National Gallery of Art.

Re-evaluate and actively use the tuition reimbursement programs at your association.

And always, ensure their is alignment between the position and the candidate prior to hiring.  A link to cost-effective personality profiles.

Studies show over and over it's not the money.  Are we ready to embrace the idea?
