This weekend my high school won its first high school football championship.
Hennessey High School is a small, rural Oklahoma community(pop 2,200) with some of the best people in the world. This town had not been in a championship game since my Dad was QB in 1961.
So, this achievement was a big deal. Not to everyone. In fact, on the world scene it isn't a ripple in the pond. But for this community and those connected in some way, it was a huge - historic - never to be forgotten - big time - event.
Did someone in your company have a "state championship" this year? Maybe they even lost the game. Now is a great time to reflect, encourage or congratulate your champions or runners-up. Don't forget.
