Association CEO - A lonely job no more.
Many executives in the association industry have ample opportunities to network, learn and exchange views. However, my experience is the association chief executive can become a remote and isolated position. And, a great source for information, expertise and best practices - other CEOs - just don't have a consistent and regular opportunity to talk about the unique challenges of job.
For a number of years, I have had the privilege of hosting a regular lunch program for CEOs to gather, determine the topic and have a fantastic dialogue. In January and February of 2012 we have had a great conversation on revenue growth, elections and advocacy strategy. And, we're preparing for the remainder of 2012. Here are the specifics:
When: 3rd Thursday Monthly (no August or December) from 12 - 1 pm Where: Association HQs in WDC, NoVa, and MD. Also MoeryLAI HQ Topics: Executive Comp, Contracts, Staff Leadership, Lobbying, Elections
Your action:
1. Contact MoeryLAI to be included on our Association CEO RSVP list.
2. Host a lunch at your HQ - Collaborate with me to ID the topic of the day.
3. Mark your calendars now - 3rd Thursdays beginning 3/15.
